LIFE WHERE I'M FROM

GREG LAM

Life Where I'm From is a YouTube channel created by Greg Lam, a Canadian who lives with his Japanese wife and two children in Tokyo, Japan. The channel started in 2015, and was mainly centered around his kids and them explaining how everyday life in Japan is like to other kids around the world.

In 2016, Greg started making videos covering more serious topics, like what it's like to be disabled in Japan, what it's like to own a ramen restaurant, and what new homes are like. The purpose of the channel is to show what life is like around the world and how we're more similar than we are different. The goal is that viewers will gain a better understanding and appreciation for different cultures around the world. The videos have now been viewed over 50 million times, while the channel has over 500,000 subscribers.
