Challenge

Looking for a way to encourage foreigners to experience local Japanese life, Nishi-Izu Town's Farm Stay Promotion Council sought out the help of Tokyo Creative to showcase the importance of the agricultural and farming industry on Japan’s produce to the global community.

Fortunately, with a growing international food community who are interested in slow food consumption and the origins of their meals, Tokyo Creative was attract audiences through a video-format farm stay experience at the Nishi-Izu Town.

Idea

To best promote the activities of the Nishi-Izu Town Farm Stay Promotion Council, Tokyo Creative produced a series of videos and articles that showcased a unique local experience for foreigners interested in traditional Japanese cuisine, daily Japanese life and a chance to exercise their Japanese communication skills.

The aim of the video was not only to invite foreigners to embark on a host-family experience, but to showcase the natural beauty of the surrounding Nishi-Izu Town and generate interest around the Japanese countryside.

Result

The final video generated up to 30,000 views within a month of release, and multiple inquiries about the farm stay were directed to the Tokyo Creative team.
